Huntington/Newhall Project

Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven’s 300 Newhall and 432 Huntington Street projects: The projects were the rehabilitation of two existing empty and blighted single family residences to create low income affordable (upgraded to Energy Star standards) homeowner occupied homes. A CDBG award covered the acquisition costs and an award of $112,000 in City administered HOME funds covered the remaining funding gap in a project of $ 309,480 construction hard costs (not including the volunteer labor). The HOME funding was awarded at the end of FY’09. Completed at the end of 2010. Properties sold to End-Buyers by Spring, 2011.
